The Super Siblings V.S. The Evil Pizza Monster

It was a snowy day. Frost dusted the tops of buildings in the little town that was sheltered at the base of the mountains, and the kind-hearted people that wandered the streets had mittens and coats on. You could tell they were nervous by the way they kept their heads down and glanced around anxiously more than once. They had good reason to be so. Villains were prone to attack this civilization often, and the people were all frightened they may be turned into one of their victims. But they aren’t as frightened as they once were. This was because of Super Maeve!

Super Maeve was a superhero. She had protected the town below her base, the Maeve Cave, in the mountains ever since she could fly. She wore a shiny, bright yellow cape with a matching costume that had a large “M” enclosed in a circle on the front. Lighting bolts were scattered all over the shiny surface of the costume - Super Maeve wasn’t very sure why, but they made her feel important. She could fly, turn invisible, and was very strong: the average superhero. Super Maeve spent most of her days vanquishing the evil villains that tried to attack the town.

This particular day, there were not any villains that needed defeating at the moment. Super Maeve was moping around the Maeve Cave, dreadfully bored and wishing she had something to do. Deciding she needed cheering up, she called her brother, Super Vince, on the telephone to ask him to come join her for tea.

“Of course!” he replied over the telephone. “I was hoping you might think of such a thing.”

He promptly arrived outside the Maeve Cave soon after that. Super Maeve allowed him in, and they went to the sitting room together. They had just gathered around the little table and were about to enjoy a nice tea when there was a sound outside.

“What was that?” cried Super Maeve.

“I’m not sure,” said Super Vince. They leapt off the chairs they had been sitting on and rushed to the entrance to see.

When they peered down, they saw a man dressed as a pizza delivery person. He was standing on a tall building and had a strange-looking neon green gun in his hand. It had springs and bolts sticking out of it and the words Pizza Gun 316 were visible when Super Vince looked at the gun through a telescope. The man was speaking into a microphone with a sinister expression on his face. Super Maeve and Super Vince strained their ears to hear what he was saying.

“I am the greatest feared villain of all time!” he bellowed into his microphone. The two superheroes doubted that, as they had heard that said many times by other evil villains. In thinking this, they nearly didn’t hear what he said next. “I am Pizza, the Pizza Monster! I shall turn you all into pizza, and when I am through with this town there will be nothing but pizza littering the sidewalk! Mwha, ha, ha, ha, ha!” His laugh was cold and harsh. Then he raised his gun and began zapping the people below.

“We can’t let him do that.” Super Vince smacked his fist into his palm. “Let’s go get him, Super Maeve!”

Super Maeve nodded once. Together, they zoomed out of the Maeve Cave and shot straight into the air. They paused briefly, then dove down again until they were just above the tallest buildings in the town. 

“Stop turning everybody into pizza, Pizza!” Super Maeve shouted. She pointed her finger at him angrily. “Come up here instead and fight like a real man!”

PIzza looked up at her from his perch on the tall building. He seemed to recognize her, then laughed a great booming laugh. 

“Like a real man? But I am a real man, Super Maeve!” Pizza’s eyes found Super Vince. “And Super Vince? You two are no match for me!”

But that did not seem to bother him. To Super Maeve and Vince’s surprise, Pizza leapt from the building and flew up beside them. 

“He flies?” Super Vince looked at Super Maeve for confirmation. 

“I guess so,” said Super Maeve.

They soon had to stop their conversation because of the bullets now flying at them from the Pizza Gun 316. Super Maeve dodged and turned invisible. Super Vince did the same. Pizza laughed again. 

“We’re not playing hide-and-seek, Super siblings!”

He fired his gun all around in the air. Super Maeve and Vince twisted into different shapes to avoid the bullets. Super Maeve took the time she was hidden to try and sneak behind Pizza to knock him unconscious. She finally managed to get behind him in the end, but as soon as she raised her fist Pizza somehow sensed her and whipped around. Super Maeve’s shriek was cut off as she turned into pizza and fell through the air.

“Super Maeve!” In Super Vince’s shock, he turned visible again without knowing it. Pizza spotted him and shot him too. Super Vince turned into pizza and fell through the air a little ways from the other pizza. They both splattered on the ground.

All seemed lost at that moment. The crowd that had gathered in the street to watch wept  when they saw the two pizzas on the ground. There was silence except for Pizza’s evil laughter echoing all over the town. Everyone bowed their heads…

When suddenly there was a smack and Pizza landed heavily by the two pizzas. Super Maeve and Vince’s older brother, Super Will, levitated there triumphantly with a raised baseball bat in his hand. He swooped down, grabbed the Pizza Gun 316 from Pizza’s hand, and clicked the reverse button. He then pointed it at his siblings, and they changed back into themselves.

“Ah, thanks, Super Will,” they said. 

Super Will beamed at his younger brother and sister, but then got distracted by the Pizza lying on the ground. He was unconscious of course, but what would happen when he woke? Then a lightbulb popped into existence over Super Will’s head. He pointed the Pizza Gun 316 at Pizza. Pew! Pizza turned into pizza!

“Now no one will turn into pizza!” Super Will said happily. The crowd cheered.

Super Will, Vince, and Maeve headed back to the Maeve Cave, arm in arm. They had just gathered around the little table and were about to enjoy a nice tea when there was a sound outside.

“What was that?” shouted Super Vince.

“I’m not sure,” said Super Maeve and Super Will. They all rushed to the entrance to see.

When they looked down, they saw a man dressed as an ice cream cone standing on a tall building. He had a strange-looking gun in his hand that had springs and bolts sticking out of it and the words Ice Cream Gun 107 were revealed when Super Will peered at the gun with a telescope. Without even saying a word to each other, the Super siblings zoomed out of the Maeve Cave and shot into the air.
